Death Is A Living Experience

I’M DOING A SERIES OF POSTS AS I READ THIS BOOK; TERRY COLE-WHITTAKER‘S WHAT YOU THINK OF ME IS NONE OF MY BUSINESS. THE SUBTITLE IS ABOUT FOLLOWING YOUR INNER PATH TO HAPPINESS, SUCCESS AND SELF-FULFILMENT.

I delayed with this chapter, and to top it all, I’ve had dreadful pain in my neck and shoulders over the past few days so didn’t need the morbid chapter…

However, it’s one thing we all face and will never know the day or the hour, so it’s definitely worth considering delving into it, dealing with it and getting on with LIVING!

“Death is a living experience”

This chapter talks about the beliefs we have about death which have a tremendous influence on the quality of our lives.

We waste our precious energies trying to avoid loss when these energies should be applied to living . Most of us perceive death as a finality, the end of everything when in actual fact, death is the name we give to the end of a form, a completion of a cycle. But it’s not finality.

There is no death in the universe merely a completion of a cycle . Everyone dies physically, the body decays but our essence lives on…. “

And for my take…

My personal feelings on this became very clear when my beloved Mother died in my arms . I completely knew and felt she was with me in a way I never experienced before. I know it was her who gave me and our family the strength to deal with the physical loss of our mother.

I felt and still do feel she has the power to help me more now than when she was here in body. My Dad also passed away while I was with him and he literally took his head off the pillow and looked me in the eye as if to tell me something.

Following my passion and standing up for the name my Father gave me …Nida – which means “a calling ” in Arabic. (To Dad, it was Irish for Nita or so he led me to believe until that moment.)

Live on

I truly believe we live on in the hearts of those we love and have touched in a positive way. I believe if you want to imagine what death is like, it’s totally what we call ” Heaven” and what’s that like ?

We get to experience it almost every single day when we feel fantastic!

Heaven on earth, how you FEEL when you have given birth and hold your child in you arms, when the love of your life tells you he loves you and wants to spend his life with you, when your fav team score a goal, when you are enjoying an amazing concert, eating a picnic with your kids , getting into a freshly made bed , lighting your favourite scented candle, eating the yummiest meal, Christmas morning, being with the people you love most in the world, seeing the Eiffel Tower, Times Square, Rome, anywhere and everywhere, eating Tayto and a bar of Cadburys Dairy Milk, my aunt’s onion mayonnaise, my mother’s brown bread, a cuppa tea!

We have heaven to enjoy, right here and now, and that feeling to look forward to (minus the heartache, pain and hurt of life) forever in the next cycle . So let’s live a heavenly life with zero fear. x
